Simple and Effective Lower Abdominal Exercises
Everybody dreams of having a superband trim waistline with a six pack to show off for the men. Given a choice, many people would wish to change how their belly looks but with the lifestyles that we are living, it sometimes becomes hard to achieve this. The lower abdomen has a unique set of muscles that work to facilitate the movement of the lower and the upper parts of the body. It is not easy to trim body fat on the lower abdomenand strengthen those muscles. However, here are some very effective exercises that one can easily perform to achieve this. The best thing about these exercises is that, unlike other body exercises they don’t require any heavy weight lifting.   • Double Leg Scissors
This may seem a hard exercise at first but gets pretty simple as you practice. First, lie flat on the ground with yourhands under your back and contract your abdominal muscles. In this position, lift your legs off the ground and make circular motion with your leg. Start by rotating the legs in a clockwise motion and make five circles. Rest for some seconds and then repeat the exercise each time increasing the number of circles you make.
  • Scissors
This is another workout exercise performed in the same position as the double leg circles.Lift your legs about two feet off the ground and without bending the knees, cross the left leg over the right one. Open the legs and then close them again in a scissoring motion. Start by performing five to seven reps and increase as you gain strength.
  • Double Leg Lifts
In the same position as the prior exercises but now with the palms facing down, contract your Abs muscles and tighten the leg muscles. Lift the legs vertically upand hold tight for some seconds. Then lower your legs down to a few inches above the ground and hold for some seconds.
  • Corkscrew
This is considered as one of the best lower abdomen exercise especially for beginners. The exercise is performed while lying flat. With hands resting palm down on the sides, raise your legs directly over the hips and keep your knees together and slightly bent. Use the lower abdomen to lift your hips off the floor and twist to the right hand side and return to the starting position. Repeat the exercise and lift to the left side. Perform 8-10 alternating reps for three sets.
